Dont waste your time with these. They are exactly what their price would say. they are $500 dollar boxes with some cheap drivers in them. I was suckered in by the robust number of pro-reviews. But let me save you - if you actually care about sound and looks, purchase a different brand. The laminate wrapping on the mdf is a spotty job with visible lines. I purchased these to use as L/R in a traditional 2-way Hi-Fi system, but found the sound boomy/box-like, and the low end has next to zero extension. The best way to explain the sound is that my Klipsch RB-81 bookshelf speakers have better low end control and extension in the same room and with the same equipment. Now they aren't complete junk, so I am keeping them and will play with the design and do some mods. Shipping was slow and customer service was weird. Fluance is owned by CWD. I was not emailed or confirmed when I purchased these. I had to wait almost a week before I even got an order number from them after a couple of rounds of calling their customer service line and going through that process. The boxing was sufficient, though the speakers had styrofoam stains on them. Other companies will wrap the their speakers with a cloth blanket before shipping and that prevents the stains. These were only wrapped in a standard plastic bag so I had to wipe them down multiple times once I had them set in place. The boxes did get beat up pretty well by the delivery service. But they were double-boxed and untouched in terms of shipping damage. Depending on your room size, at this price, there are much better options. They might look like 5000 dollar speakers, but looks are only a small part of the bigger picture. Sound is what truly matters, and these give you less than you're paying for in that department.
